Cyprus Wedding Venues: Build a Website That Books Couples

Cyprus is one of the easiest places in Europe for a foreign couple to marry, and thousands of them do it every year. Many of those couples book their venue without ever visiting the island first. That means your website is the viewing. Autumn is also when next year's enquiries start arriving, so the pages you fix now decide which weddings, christenings and company dinners you host in 2027.

Who is looking, and what they need in sixty seconds

Picture a couple in Manchester or Tel Aviv on a phone at ten in the evening, comparing five venues in open tabs. Picture a local family planning a christening, or an office manager looking for a venue for a Christmas dinner for sixty people. All of them want the same four answers fast: how many guests you can take, roughly what it costs, whether their date is free, and what the place really looks like. If any of those answers takes more than a minute to find, they close the tab and move to the next venue.

Show the venue honestly

Your photos are doing the job a site visit would normally do, so they need to cover the whole experience, not just the prettiest corner at sunset. Show the ceremony spot and the dining area both empty and dressed. Show the view, the dance floor, the bar, the bathrooms, where guests park and your wet-weather option. Add one short walkthrough video filmed on a phone in daylight, with someone walking the route a guest would take. Use photos from real events you have hosted, and name the photographer. We covered why your own photos beat stock and how to add video without slowing the site.

Say what it costs and what is included

Couples from abroad cannot pop in for a chat, so a venue with no price information looks like a venue with something to hide. You do not need a full price list. A starting price per guest or a hire fee, your minimum and maximum numbers, and a clear list of what is included is enough. Say whether chairs, lighting, a coordinator, a menu tasting and exclusive use are part of the deal, and what common extras cost. If you offer packages, give each one a name and a one-line summary. Our guide to showing prices on your website explains how to do this without boxing yourself in.

Build the enquiry form for someone far away

A generic contact form with name, email and message is where venue enquiries go to die. Ask for the event type, the date or month, the expected guest count, and the country the guests are coming from. Make the phone field accept international numbers and offer WhatsApp as an option. Then reply within one working day with a yes or no on the date, a price sheet and the offer of a video call. Speed matters more than polish here, because the couple has four other venues in those open tabs. See our notes on forms that lose leads and why replying fast wins.

Pages that bring Google traffic

One venue page trying to serve everyone ranks for nothing. Give each event type its own page: weddings, christenings, engagement parties, corporate events. Write a separate page for couples marrying from abroad that explains the civil ceremony at the town hall, the documents they need and a realistic timeline, because that is exactly what they search for. Keep both Greek and English versions complete, not a machine translation. On your Google Business Profile, choose the venue category, add your event photos and keep collecting reviews after every event. Ask your developer to add event venue schema markup so Google reads your capacity and location correctly.

Proof that calms a nervous couple

Booking a venue you have never seen is a leap. Make it smaller with named testimonials from recent couples, a list of trusted local suppliers such as photographers, florists and celebrants, and a short "what happens next" timeline from enquiry to the big day. A secure online deposit, paid by card from anywhere, turns a yes into a confirmed booking the same day.

Your checklist for this month

  • Open your venue page on a phone and time how long it takes to find capacity, price and availability.
  • Replace stock images with photos from three real events, including one of the whole space dressed.
  • Publish a starting price and an inclusions list.
  • Rebuild the enquiry form with event type, date, guest count and country fields.
  • Draft a page for couples marrying from abroad, in English first.
